Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28, 1967. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. In the early years of his life his father became obsessed by acting. While a student of Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and in Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he received his induction into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. Eric Anthony was their first born. They got married in the year. Walter along with his wife were discharged from their Air Force service in 1957 and enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. In 1960, the family relocated into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in Decatur, Georgia called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They financed the production themselves. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted about six years. The couple had another two children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also known by the name Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know as Julie).
